CALL OF DUTY: MOBILE
At rugl.studio, we were commissioned to create high-impact ads for Call of Duty: Mobile, using Activision’s 3D character models, maps, and textures as a foundation. I animated the characters using a mix of motion-capture data and custom animation, then composited the final sequences into dynamic, action-driven ads. This was my first project involving 3D and compositing at such a large scale, making it both technically demanding and creatively rewarding.

The challenge was to take raw game assets and elevate them into cinematic, high-intensity ad sequences that performed well in fast-scroll environments. The production required large-scale 3D handling, animation, and complex compositing — with the expectation that the final output would feel true to the Call of Duty universe.
By combining mocap-driven motion with hand-keyed animation and controlled lighting, I created shots that felt dramatic, polished, and gameplay-authentic. After compositing all scenes, the results delivered a visually striking series of ads that significantly exceeded performance expectations.
