LORÈAL

For a promotional installation in Munich, McCann provided me with the visual design for an immersive cube experience celebrating Ilon Specht — the L’Oréal copywriter behind the iconic line “Because I’m worth it.” Visitors could step inside the cube, have their photo taken, and see their image integrated into the large-scale animated display. My task was to bring the static design to life through motion, creating a seamless animation that wrapped elegantly around all sides of the cube.

ROLE

Motion Design & Direction / Delivery of Assets

The core challenge was to translate the supplied design into a flawless, continuous loop across a 3D cube surface — while aligning the animation’s pacing and tone with the documentary trailer it accompanied. The motion needed to feel respectful, understated, and in harmony with the tribute to Ilon Specht.

I developed a subtle, rhythmic animation approach that emphasized fluidity over impact, creating movement that felt calm, dignified, and fitting for the narrative. The result was a smooth, unobtrusive loop that allowed both the documentary and visitor-generated photos to become the focus.
